Eversound wireless headphones help to minimize isolation by enabling residents to hear and focus – even while physically distant. By utilizing the headphones, our staff is able to make every interaction and program accessible to all!

Reading2Connect – Finding the Person Within

Adapted books break through the barriers to reading faced by older adults living with cognitive changes, sparking their ability to reflect, remember, learn, and express themselves. Aided by a specialized book, our residents often engage in peer-to-peer, spontaneous conversation at a relaxed pace and without the structure of staff intervention.

Adult Day Program

When a parent or relative experiences memory loss and is no longer safe to be alone at home, caregivers who work or need a break often struggle to find solutions. In cases like these, our Adult Day program may be the answer.

The Adult Day Program is located in Masonicare’s special memory care neighborhood at Masonicare at Ashlar Village. The program offers a variety of supportive and social activities in a group setting for memory-impaired individuals.

Participants can attend from one to five days a week, for a full or half (four hours) day. Our program includes recreation to stimulate thinking and problem-solving, socialization, personal care services, meals, and snacks. A transportation option is available within a 15-mile radius for a nominal fee.

Adult Day rates start at $50/day and vary with the length of time and day selected. Extended hours and transportation are also available at an additional cost.

Respite Care/Short-Term Stay

Respite Care at Ashlar Village is a great way for someone thinking of moving to a community-based setting to have flexibility in the decision-making process. And to assist caregivers who need to be away or take a break, the Respite Stay provides their family members with a safe and welcoming place.
